The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District (LRFD) is hosting open houses so residents can ask questions and share feedback on the referendum.
On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the community will vote on the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District (LRFD) bond referendum to raise $25 million to build a strategically located fire station at 3750 Deerfield Road (east of Milwaukee Avenue).
This new station would replace two aging stations on Saunders Rd. and Schelter Rd., improving response times, enhancing firefighter safety and increasing efficiency—without reducing staff levels.
Community education and outreach efforts are a priority to the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District. These open houses offer residents an opportunity to learn more, ask questions and provide input on how this project will impact emergency response services in the area
